1st, thanks to Garage Woodworks for the inspiration for this project.

When my daughter Kim comes home she likes to get out in the shop with me and make something. The last time she was home we managed to spend an afternoon together and made these bottle openers. They’re all made from pieces of wood out of the scrape bin. We used some walnut and I think some hickory.
She sent one opener to her brother serving in Japan and gave another one to a friend in Orlando. I kept the third and gave it to a friend of mine.

A quick and easy project and some quality time with one of the kids. Nothing better!

Very nice and useful project! Great to see family bonding through wood working. Way to go!
