Nice pen, how difficult was it to work with the Mesquite?

@Michael: Mesquite is not at all difficult to work with. I really like it. The only “problem” I’ve had is that some times small pieces of wood pop out. It’s almost like it’s not attached to the rest of the tree well. That’s happened a few times…sometimes at a bad time, others have been okay. But I recommend trying it—it cuts well and even a 500-grit sand makes it shiny.

Thanks Aaron I will get some and give it a whirl, cannot be any worse than that unstabilized spatled maple I tried out a few weeks ago.
