I was asked if I could make a rocking elephant for a new coming granddaughter.
Well, I thought, can’t be too hard; just modify the rocking horse pattern. WRONG!
The only common parts are the screws.
The only help the horse patterns were was a help with the scale.
Picture is the result after a few trial & errors with the pattern. Mistakes would not have even made a good camp-fire.
I figure, I did alright!
I will be putting the actual pattern together sometime this coming week. I make templates for future use. I will happily share; if you want drawings etc, even some measurements, not all! Then email me. I will actually do the best I can.
All of you know that plans/patterns are just the place to start FROM ANYWAY!
I have ridden it. It will easily hold 200+ pounds.

Nice build. I am sure your grandchild will be glad she has a grandpa who is so handy with wood.
