Making a Cool Looking Bottle Opener

Hey all, I made this bottle opener last week to give as a gift to a friend.

Check out the video bellow to see how I made it, it is very simple, it just took a while to cut the metal out! On that subject I think aluminium would be a good alternative, it wouldn’t rust and will be much easier to cut.

Be sure to visit my website to see some more images of the finished bottle opener, as well as download the template which I used in this video, for free, so you can make your own!

Very nice. While I agree aluminum would be easier to initially shape, I think it would deform pretty quickly under the stress of normal use.

Very nice looking bottle opener, even if most them are screw top now, but it will work great will all the craft

So cool bottle opener! Looks like an eagle’s claw. Like the choice of metal and wood combo.
