Walnut with birds eye maple jewelry box for my oldest daughter, in a not so bright moment I used alder for the interior drawer sides and backs does not detract from use but I know I should have used maple for them.
Maple BLO
Stained the walnut with General Finishes Antique Oak, then used Aqua Coat as a grain filler

Topcoat a few coats of lacquer to achieve a silky smooth finish

sweet looking jewlery box I love the color combos and that birdseye maple looks really sweet.
