Well then… This was quite the learning experience. Made this design myself, couldn’t find a basic boat outline so the rough shape was actually of a leaf believe it or not. Just tweaked it in ms paint.

I’m still battling my band saw with its odd and uneven cuts but I don’t think I can do anything about it at this point. Oh and I almost forgot to mention.... the bottom and middle drawer were cut upside down. Doesn’t really affect the middle as its the same shape either way but boy oh boy was a frustrated when I realized there was something odd with the bottom drawer. I’m not going to lie though, I can’t help but laugh when I open the bottom drawer and see a flat surface. Ya live and ya learn.

What a great design, hope you don’t mind if I barrow the look to make one for myself.

Thanks all, and I figured if the Earth happened to roll over the thing would still be useful. HA.

Nice design. The first “secret” drawer I ever cut was upside down. Happens to everyone!

Nice looking.

I feel your pain Mark. Great looking box but I had to laugh when I read your post. I also cut a drawer in one of my boxes upside down a couple of weeks ago. I was hurrying trying to finish it and guess what…. Like you said, quite the learning experience.

Oh I really like that design….if you don’t mind I may make a copy of it. I have cut the drawer upside down more than once. In fact, I make a few simple jigs for the glue up of the front and back of the drawers, and I just noticed today I cut one upside down. I had taken to mark and X on the cut out side and still missed. So, join the club

I love the design Mark, and the workmanship looks wonderful too. I suggest you use the bottom drawer for things you don’t want to keep.

Thanks all for the kind words, and that’s certainly a good point stefang, haha. Suppose I don’t feel too bad for cutting that box upside down, seems to happen to the best of us. Gotta remember waste marks next time… that’s the first battle anyhow.
