Had to build a toy for my kid’s kindergarten exhibition/sale.

A quick google search found online plans here: http://www.rockler.com/how-to/wp-content/uploads/Wood-Toy-Tugboat-Template2.pdf

Made from a block of 2×4 ; Jigsawed, chopped off parts of the bottom in front and in the back, followed by lots of sanding.

On top there is a small piece of plank, and a vertically attached dowel + three half-split dowels.

Overall a very simple, fun and rewarding project. My kiddos were impressed :D I guess that’s the main point ;)

Looks pretty good to me! I wonder if Shipwright will see it! LOL.

This won’t be the last I’ll bet. Nice.

That ought to float pretty good. Better seal it up good cause the kids will probably put it in the water to try it.

Cheers for the kind words, lads.

I won’t seal it – it’s for kids and you can make another one in no time ;)

Rough, tough and unsinkable – just like they were meant to be. A beaut.

Top effort, looks great…I’m sure if you’d have done a small fleet they would have all sailed/saled out very quickly…..
