Birdhouses Clock
This was a strange Christmas gift I made of rough cedar and a bunch of fig branches from my fig tree. The birdhouses I collect from Michaels craft store with their 50% off coupons which makes them 50 cents. The idea is for my grand kids to decorate the birdhouses and hang them onto the branches of the clock.

My oldest grandchild is only 3 so she didn’t do much decorating, she was too excited about all the gifts that day. The four points of the clock face are also fig branch stubs. I really like the idea and if I had the room, I’d build one for myself.

I really like this clock because it becomes a family project with each person in the family decorating their own birdhouse. Since the birdhouses are cheap, they can be replaced with “updates” as the kids get older. I wrote my granddaughter’s name and date on the one she decorated hoping that my son and his wife would keep up with the project.
