Two butterknives (sort of)

Two knives, which I made as sideproject, since I got some nice juniper wood pieces. Bigger knife has middle part of oak, smaller ones middle part is from unknown wood, sidepieces are from juniper wood. Finisher is vegetable oil.

These kind of knives are usually called butterknives, since thats what they are usually used for, but I guess you can smear pretty much anthing with them.

Trickiest part of making these was getting them to final shape, since I only have a beltgrinder and altough beltgrinder has a roll at the end, its fairly tricky to get the handle nice and round. Last bit on finishing work is done purely by hand.

You did a good job with only a belt sander. When I try something like that I us ally end up wit dips etc.

very sharp is there a pattern for them or did u just come up with them

No pattern, I just drawed the shape on wood freehand.

Like the graceful shapes of those butter knives specially the handles. Great work!
