I cut this critter about two years ago into a piece of locust wood and it was pretty much instantly purchased.

This time I used a 3/8” thick piece of solid Elm.

It’s a gift for my wife who has quite the collection of these popular internet kitties I’ve cut for her in the past.

What can I say about Ceiling Cat? He’s a phenom on the internet – do a Google search for “Ceiling Cat” and you will easily find out all about him. BE WARNED though – some of what you find may not be “Family Friendly”….....

I started this around 4PM today and it was totally finished by 7PM. Not a really difficult cutting – it’s more a way to show off this really cool piece of Elm. :-)

Quite an enjoyable afternoon, I must say!

It measures 7 inches high and around 8-9 inches wide. Finish consists of a soak in lemon oil and a thick felt backing.

Enjoy!

Very cute. It’s a cat thing.

Hmmm, whenever I see this, I feel the need to hide my box of kleenex.

Nice one, Bob. How about cutting basement cat, just to even things up!
