Hi guys, last December I started building a chest of drawer for my wife, today I finally finished it. I only worked on it a few hours every weekend, well every weekend that it was not too cold. This is so far the larges woodworking project I have done. it was the first time I try to make bracket feet and I have to say it was not difficult at all. When I first designed it it has 6 drawers but my wife asked to have fewer but deeper drawers so I changed the design, I was a little upset because it looked like a file cabinet to me. I think after all it came out pretty good the overall size are 25 1/4×22 x 53 1/4 the joinery for the drawers are half blind dove tail that I did with may incra LS positioner ( I also build a router table for it but I have not been able to apply the finish coat because of the weather been to cold the table took me like 3 months in the making as soon as I apply the finish I going to post some pictures) the wood is oak the drawers front are quartet sawn oak veneer also a first time with veneer.
Thanks

That’s really clean and nice. You have a great eye for detail

Fantastic chest of drawers! Like the design specially the legs, great joinery and the choice of handles as well.

Have your say...
