Stickley #72 I completed back in June 12’. Made of clear pine 4/4, 5/4, 6/4. Took around 15 hours to complete. Made with dado/rabbet/tongue and groove and mortise and tenon joinery. Finished with minwax 225. I’ve made much of the furniture in our living room and dining room which is why I use the same type of finish for a lot of it. I’ve been posting some of the projects I’ve completed in the past year. It was a fun build, a little challenging but hardly anything too difficult. A really fun project that I would like to do again.

A little challenging is a good thing and it looks like you did very well with it.

I can say that this may be the most “popular” project I’ve ever made. Every person who has ever come into my house asks about it. I’ve had several people ask me to build one for them. Originally I had intended to make a pair of them. I still may do that, two slightly smaller ones for my bedroom. But it was definitely a rewarding project.

With those beautiful and fine pieces of furniture for your house, you should be proud of them.
