These nightstands have been on my “to-do” list for longer than I can remember and I have finished the first one, all the parts are cut for the second one. Solid cherry sides and top and soft maple base. I used General Finishes Black for the base and Tried & True oil for the cherry. Hand cut dovetails on the drawer. I think the Blum hinges on the door add a nice touch. Unit measures 20”x20”x28” high. Thanks for looking.

Very nice! I like the way you did the base in the dark finish.

This looks super Rick. The black really accentuates the beauty of the Cherry. Great Work!

From the inset door, to the dark base and dovetails alike… stellar.
Anyone who sees or uses this shall reap pleasure from your fine craftsmanship.

And isn’t it great that parts are cut for nightstand # two!
More pictures next time please!

That is a beautiful nightstand that will only get prettier as it ages.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Pinto, i’ll take some construction photos when I start the next one, the other photos I took of this one just didn’t look right with the flash. GF, that’s why I chose the Tried & True oil to leave the cherry natural.
