An old friend called me about 5AM this morning insisting I help him with a little project. I finally relented and went to see him. We returned to me airconditioned shop (Its 95% outside) and went to work. As it turns out he has a tractor trailor full of old crates. He had an idea for using the old wooden crates and this is what we came up with. How do you like it? The wheels are off an old scale. The rest is from scrap wood and an old mop handle.

That’s a pretty neat idea, Terry.
Seeing that crate really brings back memories…. I haven’t seen one of those in years. I’ll bet if you put up a stack of those crates at a garden center and showed one with a plant or two in it. nostalgia buffs would buy ‘em like hotcakes!

Very cool idea! And plus one on Charlie’s idea of the flowers, my mom would fall head over heals for it. Granted the other day she brought home an almost petrified root ball from some tree that had met it’s match with a road grater years and years before.

very cool idea! But… you might get more from them by selling them on Ebay. I remember when they were all over, but they have pretty much dissapeared now.
I would buy the wagon just for the case.
God bless,

How about a end table for the outside next to a lounger. I like the ideas. Don’t just sell it for money do something with it. Add value to it. Creativity always sells.

Yes Napaman, the picture is my friend Selman who had the idea and has the crates. I suspect that Hawgnut is right about gettting more for the crates on Ebay, But I, like Dominic think we shoud do something with them. I like the table idea. Selman is a retired auctioneer and planning to take the wagon to a sale this weekend. We will see if anyone is interested in Coca Cola crates used to make an object. I suggest to him he might sell them on ebay as well and see what he thinks. As it turns out his father, among other things was a Coca Cola Delivery man. Thanks guys, Terry
