This is two pieces of ash with a piece of Zebra wood in the center. It is almost 7 inches tall. It will make a nice vase or just an abstract decorative piece.
I rarely know what the design of a piece will be before I start turning it, it just sort of comes to me. I was feeling kind of strange this morning it would seem. There was no hint of any varied colouring in the ash when I started turning it, I am happy with the darker section at the top.
I finished it with OB Shine Juice: 1/3 DNA – 1/3 shellac – 1/3 BLO
-- Don't try to figure it out... just turn it.
