My daughter asked for a clock, so I mounted 12 whittled birds on their perches around this 14” diameter 3/8” thick birch base, with a few little mushrooms added at the bottom to fill an empty space. The birds and mushrooms are whittled from birch, while the fence posts and rails are from some other tree branches. I think I’ll order some larger clock hands for the final product, but otherwise it’s complete. The other pictures I included on this post are just samples of the birds I have created in my recliner with my utility knife and birch branches. Thanks for looking! (When I left for work this morning, it was a balmy 5 degrees below zero here in Minnesota!)

Good job on this piece
