I made this cherry pick box as a secret Santa gift exchange at work back in December.
Finished with blo and amber shellac. Based on Steve Ramsey’s pick box.

Pretty cool. It would make a good keepsake box.

Great idea. I have a couple of picking buddies I could make these for. Thanks for the idea.

That’s cool! Very smart idea! Nicely done.

Great idea. What did you use for the hinge?

Fantastic box! Like the beautiful shape and finish specially the design on the pivoting lid.

This is Steve Ramsey’s how to video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyOAcvMCOgg

I didn’t drill all the way through my lid. I cut the middle and bottom from ¾ inch cherry. But cut the lid from a different ¼ inch piece of cherry left over from another project. I liked the grain better, and it made the box a little thicker.
