I’ve been doing some small pieces to practice my marquetry. I needed a napkin holder for our dining room table because I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old at home. They are both exceedingly messy.

I was originally going to make it slightly more blocky but thanks to my very talented father I ended up rounding down the top.

Very nice result Danielle. I like the different sizes of the hearts and the way they are balanced. Now you will have something nice to look at while the kids sling food around!

Very nice Danielle.
Your fits look nice and tight and you can’t go wrong with hearts.

Very pretty, like the choice of colors and woods. You obviously are skilled at marquetry.
