I had no idea what this would be when I started turning it. For a while I thought I might be making a bell shape, and I started thinking about a handle and everything. Then I brought it in the house and my wife said that it would be a very good planter. I added a few burn lines top and bottom.
It is about 8 inches tall.
I have some new carbide cutters, and I had such a bad jam happen that i destroyed one of my cutters, so I guess that adds value to this bowl planter thing.
This is the deepest tightest I have ever hollowed out. It sure is hard to get the inside done well, but I am getting the hang of it.
Finished with OB Shine Juice (see previous project for info on that)

It finished up pretty good. Sorry to hear about your new cutter getting hammered.
Mostly turning is fun but every so often it’s a pita.
