Just a few projects that I’ve been working on. I’d say I’m back to making some good sawdust. I’m enjoying myself but have found out how much I’ve forgotten. Having fun relearning.
All the boards and trivets are walnut, maple and cherry and with the exception of the trivets are finished with mineral oil. The trivets were finished with BLO. The key chains are a little bit of everything and finished with CA glue.
The zigzag pattern is a first for me and it was fun playing with it. The trivets were more fun as I had to build a jig and anytime you have to build a jig means you really are woodworking!
Thanks for looking.

Betsy,
I really like picture #2 also, but all of your boards/trivets are very nice.
I made a few trivets like yours (a year ago but never posted them because this dial-up is too slow), but I only used a jig for the round one that I made. The others I did parallel with the sides and routed through the ends so I was able to just line them up on the fence. Yours is a much nicer design and sturdier as well. Thanks for sharing.
