I saw this in wood mag I had to make it.Is cherry and walnut.Check out the little secret compartment under the base.
p.s. thats some of that $3.00 curly maple on that chair I made in the back ground.I love that stuff!!!!!!!!

I love secret compartments, hidden locking mechanisms and that sort of thing. And to hide them in such a nice piece too!
