Deacon's Bench with Storage

This bench was made from a woodcraft plan. The lady wanted southern yellow pine with a walnut stain. I used slats inside for air circulation since she will be putting damp shoes in it. Over 70% of the bench was made from 1 1/2 inch material. This made it sturdy but on the heavy side.
