So I needed to build a mirror for some friends. I thought it would be cool, so I ordered some craftsman inlays in an oak veneer…but as you can tell, the veneers are Red Oak, and I have an abundance of White Oak….So this is what I came up with – its kinda funky, I’m not entirely “pleased” with the final look, but I had $200 in the inlays, so I had to come up with something. Friends haven’t seen it yet, but I gave them an easy out if they don’t like it…maybe I’ll like it better with a beveled mirror…
