This half of an oak blank has been in my shop since I started. Tried to turn the other half with the Craftsman tools and it was so hard it would just ride over the top. This is also before I learned how to do any kind of efficient sharpning. With the new tools that I bought that were bowl gouges and sharp I was able to turn this. Not the prettiest thing I have ever turned but after others posted the same type werk I decided to post it. I took a dental tool and removed most of the worm stuff.
It is made of oak and about 5” wide and about 3 1/2” high. I finished with Capt Eddies OB Shine Juice.
