This picture is being done for a co-worker’s niece. He wanted something to suprise her with, so this is what I came up with. Hope she likes it.

The picture is made of 1/8” Baltic Birch 11×14”. It has a very light coat of spray poly to keep it from turning colors with sunlight. The black mattboard fills in the background. It also has a place for a 4×6” picture.

The pattern itself is from Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts Fall 2011 issue, by Charles Dearing.

Dearing’s patterns are never easy, and you did a fantastic job with this one!

The lettering is also next to perfect – and as a fellow scroller, lettering is by far the most exacting thing you can attempt with a scrollsaw.

Great work Kelly!

This looks great. Do you have any blogs on here about how you make your patterns?
