This is an oak burl salvaged from my neighbor’s yard just before the tree was cut down. Some parts of the burl were rather soft and “punky”. At one point it flew apart with pieces in various places in the shop. I pieced it back together and managed to get something nice out of it. I finished it with satin polyurethane.
