This is the third and final portion of an order for a monastery in Pennsylvania; the other two being the Mission Style Wall Clock, and Note Cabinet.
This is an inter-office mail cabinet; the monk wanted something that would also hide the rather unsightly mail slots and mail, hence the door with “rain” style glass. He ordered some laser-engraved wood name plates for each shelf, which I mounted.
All cherry, with paduak corbels. Finish was 220, sealcoated, one coat of cherry stain, two coats of semi poly, and paste wax. I wanted to give it a tinge of cherry color, but am anticipating the natural cherry color to come in, so I didn’t want it to be too dark.
About 3’ tall.
-- Have a blessed day!

Very well done ! Nice style and the rain glass really tops it off : )

Great design and build on that fantastic mail cabinet. Like the metal handle and the glass door.
Have your say...
