I finally finished the benches for the Farmhouse table I built last year, you can see it here. They came out really good I think. I made this mistake of thinking I had made the table out of Cypress and came across a good deal on some from my brother-in-law. I made the table out of Spruce. Oh well…I wasn’t going to go buy more Spruce to do the table when I had just bought the Cypress. I don’t think it looks bad though since they are stained dark anyway. They and the table got pretty good reviews at my son’s 2nd birthday party (I finished the 2nd one that day). 2 coats of Mission Oak stain and 3 coats of High Build Poly and they were ready for sitting on.

Thanks for looking!

Very beautiful work. You’ll have an heirloom to pass down to other generations.

They look great! I like the table too. I just finished a large table and slowly building the benches for it. Not as much fun as making the table…
