Here is a small bowl I did recently. It is made out of African Zebrawood and is about 5” in diameter at the top and tapers to about 3”. It is finished with Shellawax. Gotta love the Zebrawood! :)

I love that wood even though I have never used it myself. It is really beautiful. You did a great job on the design.

Very nice job….I love the look of Zebra.
Hows the edge on your tools after turning Zebra? I found it to be brutal on my carving knives.

Thanks for all the kind words! It’s what keeps me going! :)
Jim, I didn’t notice any wear and tear that was abnormal. In fact, it seemed quite ‘soft’.
Trifern, I found it quite enjoyable to turn. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I have turned a couple of pieces out of Zebrawood but never noticed anything peculiar with the smell. I ‘ll have to keep this in mind the next time… oh yes, there’ll be a next time :)
