These are a few of the wild game calls I have turned. I have done goose, duck, predator, and deer grunt calls. The wood I used was African Blackwood with Cocobolo, Maple, Bloodwood, Lignum Vitae, and Lacewood. Some of these don’t have the inserts in them yet.

wow, the grain pattern in the last photo is awesome, kind of looks like a totem pole. Nice looking calls.

They look great. I just turned my first with an acrylic stopper the other day. Mine wasn’t clear though, how did you get the inside polished to keep it looking clear? I wanted to try one that was clear but really wasn’t sure how to get the core polished up after drilling.

I wish I had a better answer to your question but I just bought the acrylic piece. It is all connected with the reed and everything so you just put that whole piece in the wood tube.

The parts kits I bought were from HUT products and the reeds ship separate from the barrel and stopper blanks. Where did you find the one piece reeds and stopper?

I got that one from my high school woods teacher which was a Buck Gardner call. I don’t know for sure how to get them… Sorry I wasn’t more help.
