young man + young wife = low $. So I built our bed rather then waste money on a cheap bed. It’s king size and completely modular. Finished it in 12 days and I missed a few evenings to work on it. Built this on saw horses and on the floor of the garage before I had really any thing set up at all. My wife helped sand, privided an extra hand, stained, and polly.

That’s really pretty. Where’d you get the plans? I’ve been lazily approaching my bed project for some time now.

Madwilliamflint : I really like rustic style furniture (will post my cedar log furniture soon) I seen some ideas after googling and finding Anna white . Com then I drew up my own plans and had to make some changes a long the way.

I would like to know where you got the plans for that bed as well or was that a personal design? My wife and I were just at a furniture store the other day and they are really not cheap. I can build something like that and would love to when we are ready to go from a Queen to King size bed.

Here is the website that I seen that helped me out. I drew up my own plans based on these plans.
I made the supports site in an open mortis with legs that support in the middle cause its a king. Also purchas the hardware to remove the side rails from woodcraft or rockler. Around $13 I think. Hope this helps.
