Tall chairs

These tall chairs were built to use for high room divider tables. I made 3 for our house, then, a friend saw them and ordered 6.

They are made of Spalted Ojoche’ ( O ho chee). They were made from lumber from the tree in the photo. Sometimes the trees are just too old and develop a bad root system and just fall over in a good wind storm.

Very nice. The colors remind me of Cedar but a little darker.

Beautiful, great design. OK, I give up. I thought I knew quite a few species, never heard of this wood.
