Very nice gun cabinet. It’s also handy having it next to the bed, in case someone tries to steal your pillow :]

I do plan on adding locks to it. I also have to put the hardware on the doors. As for the comments about its location next to the bed. Don’t get me wrong I am all for guns in the bedroom, but that is just a spare bedroom in my parents house. I am building my own house right now and just needed a place to store it. Thanks everyone, I am always interested in everyones comments.

Very nice. I like how you made the base bigger than the top. It is a bit out of the norm, but it still looks great, and gives you a lot more room for storage.

Very nice. I have toyed with the idea of making one of these but it just seems like it would be to easy for someone to steal the guns out of one if they did break in to your house while you were gone. Anyway nice cabinet.

Well theft of guns really doesnt worry me very much living in a town of 250 people. But I do see how that could raise some concern for some. It is hard to tell in the pictures but there is a shelf towards the top of the cabinet with an LED strip light underneith it. Just thought it would add a little bit to it.

Nice looking gun cabinet. How tall is the top section? I always liked building gun cabinets. They are on my sight if you care to look. Thanks for posting.

This is a nice gun cabinet. It is both functional and a nice piece of furniture. Adding the beaded backing gives it a nice detail.
Well done.

TenonTim expressed my sentiments. I’m guessing by your handle this is mostly a shotgun cabinet, and I further infer mostly waterfowl. Normally one would associate longer-barreled shotguns with waterfowl hunting, which justifies the larger top case. Just thinking out loud (sort of.)

Nice cabinet.
On the other hand, floppy diskettes? What is this, the 80s? =)

The top part is 5 feet tall which includes about an 8 inch shelf at the top. And yesTexasgaloot you were absolutly correct in assuming a waterfowl hunter. And as for the floppy diskettes… well all I can say is that they are actually for the piano on which they are sitting. My mother is a music teacher and sometimes records her piano playing since it can be hard to find an accompianst sp? sometimes.
