I made this headboard for my grandson Craig for his 12th birthday. The posts are 1×4 Poplar, glued to make a square post. The trim on the posts are 1/4” Oak that I made. The center, which is set 2” into each post, is 3/4” Oak veneer plywood; the facade was made from a pattern that I drew and cut out with my scrollsaw. I made the caps on the posts and screwed in the baseballs. The caps are made of 3/4” Oak.
