Thanks to all of you on LJ’s for the inspiration, I was able to put together a jewelry box for my wife for Valentines Day.
It’s solid walnut with wenge drawer pulls. 9 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. Legs were curved on 2 sides with use of a bandsaw and a template jig that I built. The main frame is held together using rabbits cut on the router. Drawers are lined with felt. It’s not perfect, but in every mistake I think I was able to learn and grow as a woodworker. Thanks everyone!

Happy wife, happy life. She is going to love it, especially something this useful. Be careful, now she may ask for more jewelry to fill it up

When have any of us had a project that was perfect. The perfection is in the joy you had making it, the learning exerience, and the fact that your wife will always treasure it. In my book…..that is perfection.
Great job!
