A buddy of mine asked me about a month ago to make him a Urn for his Pawpaw who is a beekeeper by profession. He told me that i was the only one he wanted to make it. I was more than happy to make this special piece for him. I went to his house and took some pictures of the old bee boxes he lad laying around. His only request was that it me made from Cedar. He called me up a few days ago and told me that his Pawpaw was getting closer to heaven and wanted to make sure I would have it ready. His father passed away last night. I got out in the shop this morning and started building. When I dropped it off at his house he was so excited and happy. He said it looked just like what he wanted. I made the lid come off so he could put the ashes in a bag and stick them inside the box then seal it up with some nice brass screws.

I keep bees, and I say this is a dandy likeness. Great job on a project that will mean a lot to those you built it for.

Also as a bee keeper, this is a fitting tribute to any keeper. Be proud of your work and be glad you helped a family through a tough time.
