This and That

These are a few projects I did over the course of last year. Some were gifts and some were commissioned. The first project is a commissioned shelf for hanging keys.

The second is my first attempt at a bandsaw box, which Degoose was kind enough to give me some pointers on. It’s made from aromatic cedar, a piece of western cedar leftover from a deck project and walnut. The handle is some small cutoffs of maple and purpleheart. Thanks for the tips, Degoose!

The third project is a candle/trinket stand I made after coming across a blog by Patron. It’s made from maple, walnut, African mahogany and padauk. Thanks for the easy to follow blog, Patron!

The pics below were inspired by Andy's cheeseboards. I needed a few quick Christmas gifts and his cheeseboards fit the bill. The boards are finished with many coats of mineral oil. The first one is made from maple, walnut, purpleheart, lacewood and blackwood. The second one is jatoba, birch, padauk, walnut and blackwood. The third is quartersawn lacewood, oak, walnut, maple and purpleheart. Thanks again Andy!
Thanks for taking the time to look and any comments/critiques are welcomed.

All very nice, but the third cheese board is outstanding. Very beautiful!

I like all of these projects a lot Brad. All beautiful and nicely done. I especially liked that 3rd cheeseboard too. I think your bandsaw box was also extra nice.

Very nice Brad, the box is very cool and fun to make, and all the boards are well done and unique to you.
You have a good eye for design and the long cheese board is my favorite, wonderful color combo.
Thanks for the nod.

I like the inlay design on the featured piece. It is very Frank Lloyd Wright-esc
