This is a Maloof inspired design by Charles Brock http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/rocking-chair-plan-package-deal.aspx we made the chair using the “Build a Sculptured Rocker Plan Bundle PLUS Shaping a Sculptured Rocker DVD “set. The chair is for my husband’s son and daughter-in-law first baby. It took about 170 hours to build and finish the rocker. The DVD’s are nicely done; there are some areas that aren’t as detailed as I’d have liked. Taking the Bar Stool class with Andy Chidwick helped a lot because the seat and leg joints are the same, so I was already familiar with making all the cuts and fitting the joint. The baby’s do on Feb 14 so we are in Colorado right now. We just finished putting the last coat of Waterlox on last week. The foot stool is from http://www.custommade.com/sam-maloof-osage-orange-home-mattress-pad/smlo-981183/s/0/2/

Very nice, I am working on a rocker now as time allows. Hope mine comes out half as good as yours.
