It seems like you put the hole on the wrong side.

The hole on the wrong side? I dont get it. Anyway, good job for your first bowl. It looks a lot nicer then my first bowl. Keep it up

Good job on your first bowl. I like the wood combo. I use a lot of cedar myself.
