Thought this was a great idea when I saw it posted earlier.
Was easy to make but my first couple of test cuts were less than impressive.
after more fiddling I determined that I needed better clamping.
Now I am getting decent cuts but have noticed the saw might be out of alignment just a short hair tad.
of coarse in wood working there is always room for improvement

I built a very similar sled about a year ago. I put a track and a hold down on it the hold the work piece in place. After using it for a while I really dislike this jig. It is very dangerous. The cut off piece of the end sits right on top of the blade and has a tendency to fly out. The second time I used it the cutoff hit right me in my safety glasses. Good luck.
