After sitting in one of the plastic adirondack chairs this past summer and hearing that dreaded crack, I decided it was time for a more permanent solution. I’ve wanted to make some of these chairs for a long time and just never set my mind to it. I dug out an old pattern I had saved, bought some yellow pine from a local sawmill and … well here is the end result. These chairs are very sturdy and comfortable. They sit a little lower than the plastic ones but after you get in and out of them a few times you figure out how to do it with ease.
