Redwood Burl slab table I made for a friend. He purchased the materials and gave me complete artistic freedom. The legs are power-carved poplar stained white then a couple coats of glossy poly over them. I filled the knots and holes in on the top with clear epoxy then finished it with GF acrylic enduro varnish.

I’m really happy with the way it turned out and I’m thinking about making one for myself.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice…! I especially like the sculpting that you did on the legs. I know your friend had to be extremely happy with it…

That’s a beautiful piece of redwood burl and those legs are pretty special as well. Good job.

Love the legs. That’s what I call thinking inside, outside, and all around the box.
