Some scraps from the local bulk refuse. Half a sheet of plywood. Some tools I no longer use. Two weekends with the boys.

Without doubt my most satisfying project ever. The kids are already building stuff for their cubby house. Woodworking is a great way to spend time with the kids.

Great job, Pete. It is nice to see you getting the boys involved. Sharing time with them is the most precious gift you can give.

Nice post and thanks for the story as well.

I know the feeling, I’d like to do that for my grandson, but his mom is a little too overprotective. But when we baby sit what his mom don’t know won’t hurt her. LOL. Nice project. mike

Looks like a good job. Something the kids will appreciate the older they get. Great way to make memories with them.

Cool. My step-son has little interest in the wood trip, at least for now. I’m pinning my hopes on my grandson for the short term, and hope that as his father gets a few years on he will take an interest in the craft.
