Finger spinning top and what we used to call ‘button whizzer’ since it was usually made from a large button and makes whizzing sounds as it spins! Drilled holes in this wooden button at various angles to makes strange whizzing/humming sounds. Thought it might even whistle but no luck on that. Made for a co-worker’s young daughter from leftover cut-offs from last project (gavels). Finished with a little mineral oil so as to be non-toxic. Just a little quick fun at the lathe!
