built: late 2002

coffee table build for our first house, still in service today. solid red oak. so many things I would do differently now, had I known what I know now.

very basic tools at the time, table saw and drill press with mortising attachment for the through tenons and spindles

looks pretty dang good to me.
...and it’s lasted 6 years (so far) seem like a solid piece.

This is a nice table. I am a fan of mission style furniture and you did a good job on this piece.

fantastic!!! (beginner’s) question for you…I noticed the tenon goes through on the bottom of the leg—-but nont on top…is that part of this style…of just something you did…as I think of it…i guess it couldnt go through on top with the adjoining piece???
