This is a maple bowl with very soft and heavy lines, with a deep hollowed out moat around the center covered bowl. It’s 10” in Diameter and about 2.5” tall. The center cover is Katalox that was just before noon a piece of scrap from another project, but it had the right dimensions, so back on the lathe it went and I even have a little scrap left from it’s second turning. EEE and Mylands friction polish

I guess I envision it being used for jewelry in the hollowed ring area, or possibly fill it with smooth stones. The center bowl is about 2” in diameter, and should hold at least 10 to 12 carats or maybe just one sliced carrot.

Hope someone likes it at Stephanie’s friends auction. The last picture is today’s productions. I think I can still maybe kick out a few long grain cutting boards in time to ship to Michigan.

That’s 3 Stephanie.

Wife will use that as a jewelry holder. Stunning enough as a decorative piece.
