These mugs ar made of some box elder. I got it past its prime and is somewhat unstable. I am trying to make some boxes out of it but it’s failing to cooperate. These mugs look nice enough, but I don’t think I would trust them to hold up with much wear and tear.
Thanks for looking

The color in those mugs are fantastic…It looks like candy cane..Who cares if they are useable since they look more like a couple of mugs make from big pieces of candy art.

Like the colors! Monte…why are your photos mostly looking under exposed? I think we miss some of the subltties of your pieces?

These are beautiful. It’s enough just to look at them. You can’t beat natures colors.

I really need to work on my photography skills. I am sitting here because I have a bad cold and I don’t like coughing and sneezing when I am working with saws. Next show is in March.

Monte those look really neat, I too love the coloring. I am sure they have a ton of uses as decorations. Hope you can kick that cold soon.

Great looking mugs Monte. Maybe if you encase them in epoxy finish they could be used (although they would probably look like plastic then).
