Before I went to visit family for Christmas a few co-workers expressed an interest in getting wall mounted jewelry armoires for their wives. At first one of them showed me a picture of one from Ikea and asked what my opinion of it was, my immediate response was I can build better for cheaper so here they are. The oak one is made from scaps and extra lumber I had from the bookcase project, the other is made from black walnut that I had laying around. The top part removes to expose a hidden compartment. The doors are half-lap construction and all other joints are rabbits. Finished off with 3+ coats of wipe on oil base poly.

Nice looking Jewelry Armoires. Did you you use your own design? Would you mine sharing dimensions? LOML and daughter could use one. Just haven’t found one I like.

Those are very nice. Of course, i’m partial to the walnut one.
