Before I went to visit family for Christmas a few co-workers expressed an interest in getting wall mounted jewelry armoires for their wives. At first one of them showed me a picture of one from Ikea and asked what my opinion of it was, my immediate response was I can build better for cheaper so here they are. The oak one is made from scaps and extra lumber I had from the http://lumberjocks.com/projects/74052 bookcase project, the other is made from black walnut that I had laying around. The top part removes to expose a hidden compartment. The doors are half-lap construction and all other joints are rabbits. Finished off with 3+ coats of wipe on oil base poly.
