Iron Maiden if you don’t already know was and still is one of the most influential heavy metal bands to this day. They are also one of my favorite bands as well. So I figured I should woodburn the cover of thier greatest album the number of the beast. To get started all I had to do was sand and cut a plank of wood. The only hard part was the woodburning. This was the hardest project I ever did. The drawing features the bands name, the name of the album, and Eddie the bands zombie like mascot. Feel free to look thier music up because thier not the kind of growling screaming metal band you would expect. They would be cllassified as rock if some of thier songs were just slower. Songs I recomend are Run to the Hills, The Trooper, Iron Maiden, Different world, Prowler and Can I play with Maddness. Comments ideas questions are welcome, Pat

Don’t forget Powerslave and Piece of Mind. Lots of great cuts on those two. I too am an Iron Maiden fan. They’re playing here in Cleveland, OH in two weeks and I’m taking my three boys to see them. Can’t wait!!

Rock on. I like to listen to some tunes in the shop myself, metal being one type.

I’m trying to find an “Eddy” doll for my son (due next month) so he won’t be scared…. Maybe I’ll burn the “Fear of the dark” cover on the headboard of his crib.
Nice work.
Another cool one to do would be Motorhead
