This may be a bit of an anachronism, but after rearranging our living room with the new furniture pieces I have built over the past couple of years, we really didn’t have a good place to put the telephone. So, I put this together, in a style to match my two previous walnut pieces.
This is built from the same walnut stock and with the same finish as my coffee table and entertainment center projects. Height is 26 inches, which is a comfortable height from the couch, and it has a couple of adjustable shelves to hold some books, tissues or a notepad.
Actually completed this last fall but just now getting around to posting.
Oh, the first picture is a just a padded version of the second picture so the thumbnail would look right on the project page.

Good job. I don’t even have a land line anymore. Always a need for an end table.

Simply amazing! For me, it’s truly outstanding.

Monte, where I live the stand-alone high speed internet doesn’t cost much less than having the landline+internet, so we just keep the LL. The thing sounds so much better than the cells, plus at least twice in the past 5 years we have had major weather events that put the cells out of business for days but the LL kept working.
Surfside: Thanks!

That’s one beautiful and sturdy stand! Love the great wood and finish and of course the additional storage.
Have your say...
